Diwas

Moon’s ecliptic path has been divided into 27 parts, each covering an area of 13 degrees 20 minutes. Therefore, in the Hindu Calendar System, there are 27 Nakshatras. Usually, the moon travels 10 to 15 degrees on its path. Hence, the duration of Nakshatra can be up to 24 hours per day.
The 27 Nakshatras are – Ashwini, Bharani, Krittika, Rohini, Mrigashira, Ardra, Punarvasu, Pushya, Ashlesha, Magha, Purva Phalguni, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Vishakha, Anuradha, Jyeshtha, Mula, Purvashadha, Uttarashadha, Shravana, Dhanishta, Shatabhisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada, Revati.

Karan
Karan means ‘The Time To Do’. It signifies a good or auspicious to start a new work that could be related to any event such as marriage, new business, etc. In each ‘Tithi’, there are two ‘Karans’. Meanwhile, there are a total of 11 Karans, out of which four are fixed and 7 repeat in recurring style. The 11 Karans are – Bava, Balava, Kaulava, Taitila, Garaja, Vanija, Vishti (Bhadra), Shakuni, Chatushpad, Naga, Kimstughna.

Yoga
